PLEASE STOP NOW, MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND PLAN TO JOIN US ON FEBRUARY 7, 2012 TO CELEBRATE FOUR WHOLE YEARS OF FLO!!!

DONE?  GREAT!  NOW HERE ARE THE DETAILS…

Start planning your outfit now, because it isn’t just any old FLO night where a flo t-shirt and jeans will do!  NOPE, we are going to go totally comfortable in our favorite pajamas!  So find your faves and make sure they are decent and appropriate!  Nothing more fun than hanging out with a bunch of fun ladies in pajamas right?

Second… there will be an awesome “nearly new clothes swap.”  So while your looking through those drawers for your pj’s also keep an eye out for any nearly new clothes you haven’t worn because, ‘green just isn’t your color’ or whatever the reason… and bring them to swap with your sisters in Christ!  It just gets better and better!

A delicious dinner will be served so you don’t even have to cook!  Just show up all cozy and eat!  I told you it gets better.  Don’t stay away if you have kids, there is free childcare (we will even feed the kiddos!).

Just to share the flo-extravaganza celebratory anniversary love we will be giving out some AMAZING PRIZES.  Can’t tell you what… but trust me, you WILL want to see what the prizes are.

The best part of the night is what comes last!  We will worship God together and listen to a great message.

I know you are excited, I am too!  See you there!

February 7 (that’s a Tuesday!)

What a royal evening we had for our first FLO of the 2011-2012 year. Being greeted with crowns to wear for the evening we were all quite royal! The theme was a royal wedding and was complete with wedding decor and a real bride.

Dinner was delicious as always thanks to Marsha and the kitchen team. There were adorable bridal gown boxes with chocolate treats at each place setting.

We all learned in the message of the evening from Pat that God has given us power through Him as brides of Christ and we should use that power for good!

Here is our bride and superhero who illustrated the night’s lesson:

Apr 13

Another great evening for ladies only at Family of Faith!  We started with a delicious meal served by Marsha and the kitchen crew and then settled in for some worship time and service.

Pat gave us a lot to think about tonight regarding choices in life.  We have choices everywhere we look… what to eat, drink, wear, buy, read, listen to, how to act, who to associate with, etc.

We see examples in the bible of choices being made and see clearly that there really is no excuse for making bad choices even if our lives are born in adversity.  The story of Jacob and Esau is the first example.  These sons were born into the same household but clearly made very different choices in regards to how they lived their lives.  Rahab was another example, she was a prostitute who probably began life with meager beginnings and then went on to live in sin.  The good news about Rahab is that she “got it,” and although her life had many bad choices, she came to know and trust God.

The prodical son also made some choices, he chose to leave his home and do things his way.

We all know how the prodical son’s story ended.  Even after choosing so many wrong roads in his life, by finally seeing that and making a good choice all was made new and good.  As seen in the video above the father ran to greet his son, so happy that he had returned home.  God is watching us and sees when we make bad choices.  He is overjoyed when we make the choice to love and serve Him with our whole heart and souls.

When we choose GOD we not only make the right choice for ourselves, but we also help to lead others to make the right choice.

But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.  Luke 15:32

May 10, 2011 is our last FLO for this year and we are going out with a bang… or a lei!  We are having a ALOHA FLO so put on your loudest Hawaiian shirt and grassiest skirt and join us for a great evening… more details to come!
