Ladies were treated like ROYALTY, Tuesday, May 11. Family of Faith Church was transformed into an elegant meeting place & as always the food served was fit-for-a-King! But alas, the 2009-2010 FLO Services have come to an end. But don’t despair, there are several fun times scheduled for this summer:
June 17, Thursday, 7:00 pm, Bricktown, “Ladies Night Out”, Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurant, Water Taxi (Canal Ride) $8, and those who wish to stay late join us for a movie at Harkins Theater. (Nursery will be provided from 6pm-10pm for children 5 years and younger) Call769-8751 to reserve your place.
The 2009-2010 was a great success due to God’s blessing and the contributions made by a very special FLO Team. Thanks so much: Miki, Marsha, Annie, Jeanne, Jessica, April, Kasey, I.Q., Kenny, Greg, Gina, Tonya and Emelia!

What a great evening we had at FLO! There was great participation in the “crazy hat contest!”
We had disney hats, crazy wild hats, baseball caps and even handmade FLO bling hats! We have such creative women at FLO.
The best part about the evening was the wonderful fellowship with sweet Christian women. There was a relaxed peaceful atmosphere that was a much needed breath of fresh air for us all!
Pat spoke about Lot’s wife after we watched a short clip from the movie, “The Bible.” Lot’s family lived in the very sinful city of Sodom. His daughters were engaged to men in that city. Because we know there were not even ten other innocent people (Genesis 18:32), we know that they had interaction with sinful people. Lot’s family had become part of the world they were living in. When they were spared from the death and destruction of the city they were told to not look back. I always wondered about the significance of looking back, even wondering if I would turn to look at the city being destroyed if I were in that place and time. But it made so much more sense to understand that Lot’s wife wasn’t just looking back to see the city destroyed, she was looking back with regret. It isn’t hard to understand how hard it would be to be taken away from your home with nothing.
The ultimate message was that although we are living in this world, it is full of sin and we have to stand firm against the evil around us. Some ways that were suggested to help keep us strong in our fight of faith would be to read the bible daily, pray daily, and surround ourselves with people who are good examples. (one bad apple spoils the bunch!)
If you missed the April FLO night, don’t despair! You have another opportunity for a great night of food, fellowship, and learning May 11 so mark your calendar now. As always there will be fun things planned to check back for more details!

The FLO team has some fun things in store for everyone who attends FLO the next couple of months! Just two more months until we break for Summer so you won’t want to miss a minute of FLO!
April 13 is our next FLO service. Wear your favorite/funniest hat!!!!
Marsha and the kitchen crew will be preparing pork tenderloin for our dinner. YUM!
The message for the night will be about Lot’s wife.
Mark your calendar now, clear your schedule, make FLO a priority! Come get fed… a delicious “free” dinner, fun fellowship, free childcare and a message from God’s word! What more could you ask for?

What a great fun night at FLO! We celebrated our two year anniversary with a delicious dinner of salads and baked potatoes prepared by our FLO chef Marsha! There were so many fun drawings for everything from t-shirts to coffee… dinner to a maid service! It was AWESOME!
The message began with a first… pizza cooking in the sanctuary 
! Pat showed us in a very practical way that if we don’t follow directions we are just half cooked. We looked at the box of the frozen pizza, how appealing it looks when inside is a cardboardish frozen pizza. Cooked at a lesser time than directed only produces a still cold unattractive pizza, even though the box shows it looking perfect. The lesson learned here is to spend time with God, read His instructions (the Word aka BIBLE) and use those instructions to be as beautiful on the inside as we appear to be on the outside.
As always FLO was enlightening and informative! Such a wonderful opportunity to visit with friends and to make some new friends too!

Our most important Birthday Celebration is near, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. America is privileged to have the freedom to praise this miraculous birth. I pray all ladies who reads this blog, will be greatly blessed this Christmas season. Also, don’t forget to remember those who are less fortunate than you are in prayer, deeds and love. Thank you, God, for sending your Son to save us & enabling each who believe, eternal life with you.
